MAJOR EVENTS IN SKAGIT COUNTY
April 5-21, Skagit Valley Tulip Festival,
Skagit County - More than 30 fun, family events, food, music, art, tours,
etc
centered around 1,500 acres of spring flowers.
April 19-21, Tulip Festival Street Fair,
Mount Vernon - Juried sale of arts and crafts by Northwest artisans, food &
entertainment. 1st Street downtown.
May 18-19, Anacortes Waterfront Festival,
Anacortes - Family festival features boats, kid's activities, food, music, car
show, commercial vendors, sea kayak race, regatta, Fri and Sat, Cap Sante Boat
Haven.
July 1-4, Loggerodeo, Sedro-Woolley -
Community picnic, Wild Women of Woolley, lawn mower races, kiddies' parade,
grand parade, chain saw competition, old-time logging skills, footrace,
fireworks, carnival, etc.
July 15-21, Berry Dairy Days, Burlington -
Celebrates two important farm industries. Parade, arts, crafts and music.
July 13-14 Skagit Valley Highland Games and
Scottish Faire, Mount Vernon - Scottish Highland dancing, piping and drumming
and pipe band competition. Vendors, food faire, special animal and performance
exhibits. Edgewater Park.
August 2-4, Anacortes Arts Festival,
Anacortes - Juried fine art show, 250 vendors, creative activities, youth stage
and vintage vehicles. Downtown on Commercial St.
August 7-10, Skagit County Fair, Mount
Vernon - Reminiscent of the good old days with animals, exhibits, food,
carnival, entertainment and vendors.
November 1-3, Art's Alive, La Conner - Watch
artists work in a variety of media throughout town.
November 30, Christmas Boat Parade, La
Conner - Decorated boats light up the Swinomish Channel.
February 2-3, Upper Skagit Bald Eagle
Festival, Concrete, Rockport, Marblemount - Eagle watching, natural history,
art, Native American and local history programs.

Eaglemont Golf Club 4125 Eaglemont Dr,
I-5 Exit 227, Mount Vernon. Voted Top 10 Public Golf Courses by PGA
Professional's of Washington. 360-424-0800 Course features: 18-hole, dry,
year-round course, very good greens, inspiring views of Mount Baker and Skagit
County forests and scenery. Pro shop and restaurant. Longest hole: #17 - 563
yards. Shortest hole: #4 - 130 yards.
Similk Golf Course Located beside
Highway 20 five miles east of Anacortes and a short 10-minute drive from
Burlington. 360-293-3444 Course features: 18-hole public course with scenic
vistas of both nearby Similk Bay.
Fidalgo Bay Wide open fairways and
user-friendly greens. Longest Hole: #12 - 538 yards, par 5 and Shortest Hole:
#6 - 115 yards, par 3. Pro shop, driving range and power carts.
Avalon Golf Club 19345 Kelleher Rd,
Burlington. 360-757-1900 Course features: 27-holes, three different and
distinct stand alone course, peaceful, good views of the Skagit Valley. Host
site for 1994 and 2001 US Open Qualifying Tournament. Longest hole: #6 North -
596 yards, par 5 and shortest hole is #4 West - 134 yards, par 3. Features:
driving range, practice-putting area, restaurant, caddie service and power
carts.
Skagit Golf and Country Club 16701
Country Club Dr., Burlington 360-757-4081 Private Membership only, open to
public for open tournaments and as a guest only. Course Features: 18-holes at
6,100 yards long, driving range, power carts and storage. Longest Hole: 544
yards, par 5 and shortest hole 135 yards, par 3.
Sauk Mountain View 839 Fruitdale Road,
Sedro-Woolley 360-856-0315 Course Features: 9-hole golf course, public, classes
for high school students. Longest hole: 510 yards, par 5 and shortest hole 170
yards, par 3. Fast food, power carts, pull carts, rental clubs and pro-shop.
Overlook Golf Course 17523 St Hwy 9,
Mount Vernon near Big Lake 360-422-6444 Course Features: 9 Holes with great
views and a restaurant. Longest hole is 478 yards, par 5 and shortest hole is
136 yards, par 3. Pro shop with clubs and a snack bar, lessons, pull carts and
power carts are also available.
